First let me get to the point of this post. I am looking for freelance concept/entertainment artists, illustrators or even students (who are exceptionally serious about learning and pursuing a career in entertainment/concept/or production art) who are interested in a work studio/office somewhere in the Tampa area. Now this is not an employment but a kind of talent bed where artists can go to do their own personal or contracted work in a creative environment with others.

There is no substitution for being surrounded by other artists while you work. I can't stress the importance of working in a creative environment because it inspires new ideas, feeds the imagination and gives you the power to envision unique worlds, machines, stories, characters, weapons, costumes and creatures that have never existed before.

The type of artists who fascinate me and the range of styles, etc. I wish to incorporate are summed up in the (by far, incomplete) list below:

Caravaggio
Rockstar Games
Min Yum (AKA "Bumskee")
Alexander Cabanel
Digital Painting
Classical Oil Painting
Henrik Bolle
Academic Painting/Drawing
Artemesia Gentileschi
Figure Drawing/painting
Marko Djurdjevic
LAAFA (Los Angeles Academy of Figurative art)
Luis Falero
Alla Prima Painting
Francisco Ribalta
Massive Black
Art Renewal Center
James Kei
2D Artist Magazine
John Howard Sanden
Classical Painting
Cast Painting and drawing
Michael Hussar
Anatomy
Justin Kaufman
Richard Schmid
Everett Raymond Kinstler
Anatomy
Wesley Burt
Classical Ateliers
Floris Didden
Jean Leon Gerome
Jason Chan
Zhaoming Wu

I am extremely frustrated and saddened by the lack of knowledge about entertainment art and, to a much greater extent, the lack of traditional painting/drawing skills that concept art demands. However, I thought I would reach out to see if any artists in the Tampa Bay area could prove me wrong.
