Cool. Great entries from everybody :)

Here are some crits...

Grandmassa: Great. Very dark and sort of mysterious. It's not how you would usually picture those characters. Can't think of much to crit. Maybe clarify the story a bit. What are they doing, why? Where are they? Or not. It's cool that it's mysterious too... :)

mememe: Nice. Like the setting. Maybe work some on your forms. The shield doesn't really look like you'd expect it too. Also the rendering is a bit blurry here and there. Maybe play some more with color. Right now everything is pretty neutral. Try some warm lights and cool shadows.

The7Artist7: Nice pose and setting. Great anatomy. I can't really find much worthy of critiquing here. Perhaps his right foot is looking a bit wonky at the ankle... but that's just nitpicking. (and I don't know if it's intentional, but I like how the flame on the right sort of doubles as a speed line making it look as if he's raising his finger up in the air) Gets my vote.

pxelslayer: Cool. But it looks a bit rushed. Would have loved to see it more worked on.

Angel: Neat idea. And good expressions. Perhaps work some on your line. Vary the weight and thickness to make it look more dynamic. Also keep studying anatomy and stuff, but I'm sure you know that ^^

tobbA: Looks decent. You should have made the lasers from the eyes glow more somehow. And also anatomy and forshortening look weird in some places. The legs are too small and the pose is pretty stiff.

Mahran: Nice. Like the comicy style. What sticks out the most for me though is his face. I think his eyes are too far down making him look a bit like a child.

Hey tobbA! Thanks for taking the time to give comments and feedback on everyone :lounge:

A few comments of my own :D

GMS - I agree, great atmosphere which adds a dynamic setting and compliments the poses of the characters - for me I quite like the uncertain storyline with the pic as you have given enough elements to spark the imagination! For example the crystals show they could be at Superman's Fortress... but why is Cap'n A there?? dun DUN Dunnnnnn! A crit would be I'd like to have seen Cap'n A worked on a little more with the lighting.

M3 - Great piece! I pretty much agree with tobbA's crits and I'd like to say I was really impressed with this piece! the sense of distance and overall composition of the pic is really well done. There is a feeling of movement and Cap's pose and expression are cool.

The7artist7 - really quite happy with this piece :) Was a lot of fun to get back to a more classic comic style with my own flavour still in there. Inspired me to do a few more like this soon.

PxelSlayer - Something about this piece got my vote - although I agree it could do with more work (and personally I'd try it without the zoom blur so the focus can be more on the pose) ... I really liked the pose you chose and the energy in the pic. In future challenges it'd be cool to see some really different viewpoints and see you explore some more detailed settings :D

AngelUK - hehe makes me chuckle as it shows you're a caricaturist the way you've focussed on the interaction so the characters show through. It'd be great to see you work on the anatomy set the scene with more background. keep it up :D

tobbA - Looks like you know what needs working on - I like the pic but yes the legs are a bit strange and maybe trying a few light n loose pose sketches to get the flow in the pose? Your anatomy is good in some places and a bit sketchy in others but overall definitely going in the right direction!

Mahran - Great you managed a piece this time buddy! A real classic pose you've gone for here - maybe a little too simple? Possibly adding a bit of a curve to the direction of his body and flightpath would and that bit of dynamism that seems to be lacking. Now tobbA mentions it he does look a bit child-like but overall a confident and cool lookin piece!

Tobba Thanks for the crit...yeah line quality is what I'm working on now and stopping myself from rendering the crap out of everything til there's no life left :teeth: next week! I really like yours, it's always good to see watercolour. :D the pose answers the brief and I like your use of colour.

The 7 Thanks :D I had another idea first which I actually now prefer which had supes sat down but I wanted some action...I voted for yours as I had a little fanfare going on in my head when I looked at it, excellently work there!
