I used mostly flat brushes on this study for an illustration.

whoa! where'd her legs go?! heh heh...You might want to stretch her out below the waist, unless she's a dwarf princess or something...

Awsome Carlo! that face is Great.. did you pull that out of your head? its frickin clean.. my only issue with this is the feet,, they almost seem stylized and the rest of her is pretty realistic.
i Just stole your skin pallate.. YOINK!

oops ok, you are right about those legs, i've edited it and lengthened her a bit. Yeah, I didnt spend much time on the feet, i was painting like the way i saw kevin do concepts for medal of honor, really tight face to capture character and fairly loose everywhere else. I had a model for the face, it wasn't just out of my head but thanks for thinking I had superhuman powers Lono. I would not have achieved that kind of lighting without a model. The gangster mech pilot is an example of a face that is right out of my head.

Very very nice. Was this painted in painter or photoshop?

Photoshop using Flat Brushes and having my opacity set to pen pressure.

Hey Carlo,

Man the heads on your people are Murdering most everything else in each piece..especially the hands. With some more attention to the hands in your work I think there will be a greater balance. I know this isn't an illustration or some indepth study, but I think it's something we should all always be thinking about and improving.

Reference or Not I am jealous of the paint job on that head.

gosh, that face just blows me away! Outstanding work, once again.. Her hairdo somehow reminds me of some supermodel, and hey, if she weren't some housewife viking hottie from former times, I'd immediately hire her as the next Heidi Klum. Such a beautiful face. Nice color scheme, too.

Very nice colors and form on the face. If you used a photo, I would like to see the reference side by side. Nice colors too!

She is one cool viking woman, A very well done rendering of a strikingly beautiful Nordic goddess, I agree her face is amazing. Colours are well choosen too. Great work

YOUR A DAMN FREAK!!!!!!!!

Translation:

How can I be more like you.

Seriously, great piece as usual, though I do agree with Joshua . Also can i ask you what your back ground is. You definitely have a strong grasp on color and I was wondering if you have any pointers for a noob.

Can't wait to see more of your work.

One more time I must say: Great!

I want to paint like this.

Yeah,
It is a nice drawing but thematically it would be much stronger if she was a nude viking woman. I believe your work would really make a statement without "dumbing it" down with clothes. Food for thought. Have a great Wednesday!!

p.s. I love Luba and her sister.

Nice Breasts!

Oh i see a small little thing that bugs me - if you look close at her eyes - theres a shadow there which stands out like a black eye too much. Maybe you could lighten it up more.
