CLOSED: CD Cover Illustration for SPEkTR

Hi all,

I have to bow out of a freelance project due to family concerns, but the client needs his illustration soon.

The project is a cover illustration for a CD by the Danish Surf-Psyche-Soundtrack band SPEkTR. Their music is very cool and evocative of sci fi images. There is an established Sci Fi Android concept which I've done some sketches toward. The artist is free to follow my lead or forge their own ground within the bounds of the concept. Further details for serious inquiries.

Fee: $800-900
Exact Usage Rigts to be negotiated, but they will want to use it in ads and promo posters and possibly shirts.
Turnaround: ASAP

Logo is reportedly being handled by a designer already.

What kind of style are they interested in? For example, are they looking for realism?

Yes, that's them.
They want an emblematic, symmetrical image.
The key idea stems from a Phillip K Dick cover, which was not realistic.
Cartoony is not desired.
Heady Sci Fi feel.
Let me try to get it together to post some of my sketches and that original cover inspiration.

Wow, we got a ton of replies. Thanks everyone! What a community! I've only dipped my toes here, but what a pool of talented illustrators. Quite humbling to be in this position.
