I don't know if anyone post up this topic before but does anyone of you encountered any color changing probs when you merged the layers?
I had three layers with three blending modes; one is linear dodge, screen and hard light. But when i merged the 3 blending modes together the color result changes; from orange to reddish. Is there a way to prevent the color from changing?

What I do is select the top layer. CTRL+A, CTRL+SHIFT+C, CTRL+V. This gives you a new layer at the top that's a composite of all visible layers and effects below. That way you can retain all the layers underneath in case you need them again.
A variation on this would be to CTRL+click on the thumbnail of the topmost layer. Then hold down SHIFT and click on the other two layers you mentioned. Then CTRL+SHIFT+C. CTRL+V will then give you a composite of all the layers as one Normal layer which you can move to the top of the layer stack (if it isn't there already).
If it's simply a case of one normal layer with a stack of three layers with other layer modes on top, then use the command flatten layers rather than attempting to merge them.

Thanks! I'll give it a try :D
