hi
so im having this problem with painter 11. when i try to save the file to a bitmap it losses all of its impasto effects.

all of my paint is still there just completely lacking all the impasto.

i tried saving to png but that didnt work, i also tried saving to tiff.

i cant seem to find anything helpful anywhere.
i was wondering if you guys had any ideas.

thanks in advance.

Try flattening the image first then saving it as a jpeg. Open that jpeg then save it as a bitmap. Jpegs will have the impasto effect as far as I've known painter.

no, it's there. What your seeing in Painter is the fictional overhead light that makes the impasto visible. When you save it outside of a riff that magical light turns off and your left with low visible texture.

It pissed me off too.

You need to create a clone of the impasto enabled rif file in Painter and save that clone to whatever format you like -- this "bakes" the impasto into the pixel data.

Best,
Jason.
