I'm working on this painting for a friend, but there's just something particularly wrong about it but i can't put my finger on it, her only words were to make it disturbing....there's supposed to be some sort of zombie mouth emerging from the eye socket but i'm not sure how to get it right..any suggestions?

show the skin peeled back where the mouth busted thru, add some stretch marks and maybe some blood, and viola.

I think you're on the right track. See how it'll look if you have the upper jaw of the zombie around the upper ridge of the eyes socket, the bottom jaw around the upper part of the cheek bone and a tongue sticking out of the eye socket.

I think it looks awesome. Perhaps don't have the mouth come out at a straight angle...have it come out facing slight away from the nose. Almost like it's pushing it's way at an angle out of the eye socket. Maybe on the left side of this guys face you could show a bulge...like it is under his skin too. That would be cool. I wish I could draw like you guys here (I am trying hehe) so I could flesh out all these cool ideas like you guys do. I love this concept. Keep working I can't wait to see the finished.

Thanks all for your advice ill keep that in mind...
@mr candyman, keep at it, even when its hard and terrible and boring, you gotta get through those bad ones to get to the good, and then one day eventually everything justs works. You know i only started drawing here a while ago, about the time i registered here is when i started and i still don't even have all the time to dedicate to art that i would like too. Anyway what I'm trying to say is that i'm pretty much just like you, i learned most of what i know from these boards,. I mean It's only recently i got my moniker upgraded to assistant artist(i mean like 5 posts ago). It just sounded funny when you said "I wish i could draw like you guys here..," because maybe you don't realize it but, you are one of these guys here. I'm much more in your state than these other "guys " you refer to, there's not that much difference from me to you. I often look at others work and say the same thing!

Hoy, I like this. If a creature was breaking it's way out of my face, I'd be a little less pleased than this guy looks, though. More like the opposite of pleased. Throes of agony, and such.
