Yes, turn based strategy will always be more balanced and fair than real time, but it never quite gets my adrenaline going as much as a good rts ^^ Ya I once played some chess. You know this already, as you were there o.0

Absolutely! I've played for along time, infact you just reminded me to get a new chess set. I been meaning to get a new one for about 2 years.. but I just been puting it off, but until then Chessmaster 9000 all the way!

I wish, I think I have the latest version and your right it looks seriously dated. I not saying its not fun, but a new engine would make it more enjoyable.

I've played since I was a kid. My wife gave me, as a wedding gift, a crushed marble fantasy set. The white King and Queen are Barbarians, the Knights are big Dragons and the Pawns are baby Dragons. The Dark King is a Vampire and the Queen is a Sorceress.

I'd love to see a new version of Battle Chess with a new gen engine.

chessclub.com is pretty good for online play.

i was just thinking that davi recently. a video game to get kids interested in it again. that would be so awesome. different modes too.

There is a warcraft 3 version floating around, if anyone plays that game. I played it awhile back (like 2 summers ago) and it was pretty fun. Not sure if that is the type of battlechess your talking about though.

i like chess, though i'm a really slow player. i played with a guy here at work last friday and it took us about an hour to finish the game. he won. i used to play on the msn game zone quite a bit, but don't play online anymore.

maybe if everybody shares where they play online and what their user name is we can meet up and play some chess with CA people.

it is trial though. they in for the money of course, but its a great program.

my trial ran up so i can only play as a guest and cant watch GM games.

even when the trial runs up you can play games as "guest". but restrictions because you arent paying.

Its easily the best free game out there. The onlydrawback is the angle the board is on makes it a little difficult to see pieces behind each other.

Love the game though. :cool:

the 3d part is cool but its more harmful than helpful. it is cool, but u cant change the tilt of the board so it is just confusing!.
