Looks nice. I would caution you in using black. It is hard to use a lot of black without making your illustration look like a velvet painting. Try using warms and cools in your 'blacks' maybe. Black does not need to be '0 0 0'...

While she does look like she has been in a grave for over 300 years, she doesn't look like a breathtaking beauty in her early twenties. Are you doing this for green ronin? And if so, she shouldn't be named, as it rather ruins the first two books of a trilogy.

Loga4 > Thanks ! I know about the name of this city... ;)

bat > What is "green ronin" ? Is it a name of one of those trilogy ? I read these books only in French...
It is its appearance a long time after the battle against the white rose and against her husband... (sorry, my english is realy basic...).

The background looks much better, makes the image a lot smoother. Green Ronin is an rpg company, and they have a license to make an rpg out of the second best fantasy trilogy (well, it started as a trilogy) ever written. The Black Company is absolutely amazing.

Im still confused by hear head. Her whole cranium above her eye line seems really tall, is there a story behind that?

Here! I modified the size of the head! Now it is really a final CG. :D

Hi alex-g,

nice picture. I like the overall mood and especially her face. What bothers me are her hands. The size of her right one seems o.k. even if the angle she´s holding the sword seems a bit strange to me. More problems I see with her left one. It looks overall too small - especially when you regard her wearing a gauntlet that´s making the hands bigger due to construction.

Another thing I see is that the readability of her torso is a bit reduced by having quite the same values than the cloak ... maybe you could try to push the shadows of the cloak around the torso a bit. I think this would make the figure more readable.

I really like the work overall and beside her face my favourite part is the armour. Good textures there, you can imagine the battered metal.

edit: I just did this really small changes on a "paintover" to show you what I was saying http://www.kriegsherren-von-og.de/diverses/Dorothee-Senjak-po.jpg

Hello! Thank you for your comment ! Perhaps you are right for the left hand but, where I am, I think that I will not modify it. :dead: ;)
However, for the cloak, I can perhaps make some-thing indeed... Thank you!
:D
