i second Nigel Q--there's a real Mignola vibe in the linework--which is a very good thing. i love how active the colors make the negative spaces, great characters.

diterlizzi's stuff. I love that story book quality.

McNallyism- hey, thanks!
atm I am mostly using the square chalk to do the actuial painting, with a digital style airbrush to block stuff in. I don't know how to use anything else yet lol.
I sometimes go through a bunch of brushes and try them all out on the image tho. to see what does what. so there are different bits and pieces in there as well.
the lines are just done with a pretty standard thin pencil type thing over a rough sketch.
