GREAT work everyone, i see improvement everywhere.

Im quite proud of this one, it is by far my best yet. if its too big i am sorry. about 2 1/2 hours, done in my painting class. because im sitting in on a college Painting 1 class, everyone was blown away by the 15 y/o with a laptop in the corner. teacher was very happy with this, she is a photoshop guru, and she taught me a shitload i didnt know just tonight. i no longer want painter :)

umm, if i did this differently i would do it on a colored background to eliminate some of that white space........

buddistmonk- nice one man, what did you do to get the brush so soft?

JMac- I know man. Actually, my SP today was inspired by Mindflaw's comments on yours. I realized I always do a side-ish, 3/4ths view, and went for a straight on. All of your SP's do look very similar. You've got that skintone going nicely with the pencil, maybe add some harsher light, work on mood and expression. You draw yourself pretty well in casual light.

i dont really like this one. i was fighting with the proportions and shading of the forms the whole time. i was also using a different brush that did not work well with my lighting setupi (basically using just the monitor light) before, the soft brush worked very well for this. here is my offering:

jetpack, i used one of the splatter brushes that dont look useful.

bhuddistmonk: that no one uses??? i use brushes from the regular hard type to the textured ones, to the splatter ones, to the butterfly, leaf, start, circle ones... etc... using photoshop... hehe :D
