Virtual 3D art gallery

I am in the process of creating a website for virtual 3D art galleries so artist can showcase their art online. I would like to find out your responses. It will be in videogame format, so you would be able to walk around an online virtual world showcasing you art on the walls.

This is a wierd idea. It may be good for a thesis project.

This probably would not work well because of the loss of resolution after converting the art into a skin. I know i would not get to look at it in the way i wanted to. To save time, why dont you just open a gallery?
