If you mean are they copied from comic books, then yes, one of them is also just a skull drawn on the chest of the lead character in the hitman videogame.

Yup, they're all scanned in from comics. He even left Shawn McManus's signature on one, lol.

Just about all the different pics are done by a different artist. Michael Golden, Shawn McManus, John Romita Jr, Jim Lee, Mark Texeira, Jae Lee, Mike Zeck (w/a paint over done by Alex Ross)... those are the ones I recognize off the bat. But sorry, can't specifically tell you which issue of the Punisher the drawings are lifted from, cause, well there's been like a few hundred issues and I'm not about to go through my collection on a hunt. And that's excluding guest appearances in other comics, pinups, and the like.

I think the third one from the bottom (the wide one) is from back when John Romita Jr. was drawing Punisher War Zone. He drew roughly the first dozen issues. It also might be from the Punisher/Wolverine/Ghost Rider one shot he did.

Anyways, you're friend is full of it.

because I know he said thats his and I know as much as you know about the rest of the claims about the drawings from that post...I think he is at least trying to give off that impression or is claiming they're his, thats why I am asking him.

I just got a 12-issue Punisher book and I recognize some of those from it.(the book where he uses a polar bear to kill a guy and a fat guy to suffocate the Russian)

But, the Hitman one could have easily been done in MSPaint. It makes me laugh.

Is there some type of enjoyment people get from ripping other people's art?

alright guys, thanks a lot...I want to show this to him, but he closed the topic, and I'd prolly get kicked from the clan, which is incredibly pathetic, but thats how people are these days, stirred up a lil controversy though eh.

Oh and he claims he did a composite for the clan logo, the "your freedom wasn't free" poster, is he saying that he threw a bunch of things together to make that or what?

This is a silly thread. I don't see him claiming he made these(and in the last post actually saying he didn't make them). Since the forum these were posted in was for sigs and graphics, I think it's reasonable to assume that he posted those pics so people could use them in their sigs if they wanted, as a courtesy so they wouldn't have to go looking for images on their own. A little common sense please. (Don't mean to be rude, but claiming others' art as your own is a serious no-no, so accusing someone without reason isn't acceptable either)

Oh, and on the logo, where he claims it was a composite, he means he added the clan name onto someone else's art.

alright man, I didn't say he made those for sure, if you can read, you would have read that, he claimed to the leader that he made the logo...(3d) so I know he tells people for sure that he made that...so there you go.

Also he took credit for making them in another place...so don't give me that...

Just so you know: "making" a sig, and making the artwork used in a sig are two different things and two different claims. It's unlikely anyone is dumb enough to think they could fool people into thinking they had created all that artwork, particularly when they show wildly different styles.

lol, no I didn't make them. I did a composite for the clan logo. And the one of the chick with the nice tushy I painted with my feet.

thats what your friend said when you asked him if he made these... so whats the problem? he "made" the sig, meaning he lazily slapped some crap on someone else's art, and thats all he seems to be claiming.
