i dunno... the idea is fine, but the actual drawing comes across a little bland.

he's amputated and it looks like u went crazy with the smudge tool.
the face has lines with harder edges and is more detailed, it's my favourite part- perhaps u could have tried that same technique throughout the rest of his body.

the metallic arm and torso needs more highlights, it just doesn't pop out enough. and since your background colour and the colour of the character are so similar it takes away from the design as well.

for the skin i want something new,smooth, no hard edges.
so, i only use the airbrush for the skin.
bacame too soft:(

you are right!! there are not enough highlights.
i post later a new version of the painting.

very well executed, but there are two problems in anatomy i see. his right lower arm looks a bit strange in muscles and proportions and his head's shape is a bit too flat / squared imho. nevertheless very well done, i like the meta slug-ish look of his left arm ;)

this painting was made for a prostetics company,so the metallic arm and the torso was more important then the rest.:)

is it movie concept art, or is it for a prostetics company? i didn't think i was afraid of much, but if people start getting chainsaws attached to their body, i might consider fearing.

the image is pretty cool. the colors add a real gut-twist feeling. i would like to see the whole body in the image like other folks mentioned. especially if the metal arm is 'the most important part', you should have the whole thing in the image.

I forgot, then remembered, to say that you might suggest a name besides 'executioner'. maybe its just in America, but this name is done to death. there's a movie coming out called the Executioner, and there's a trip-hop group called the X-ecutioners... theres alot of executioners around in other words.

the prostetics company works for the movie, so i send all designs to it
the titel executioner comes from the movie script, it is not my creation:)
