Hey, I am quite new to this forum, and although I do post stuff quite a bit I have never shown any artwork on here before (coz i didn't know how to!) and so now I know, here is a painting I did recently for a book I'm making at university. I am hoping to one day become a concept artist when I leave uni this year-being a girl its a bit daunting though, coz everyone in the industry are men really!! (not that I'm complaining!)
Anyway, let me know what you think, sorry bout the poor quality but they are photos I took with my camera!:)

*sigh*
It's interesting, and your skills are pretty good, but as an artwork, its not really my cup of tea. Besides, i don't really understand what's going on in it. Maybe you have more work to show so i could get a better idea?

well it was going to be a double page spread for a book I was doing, but I've changed the story now, so whats your cup of tea then? I'm intrigued.

This is one of those questions that's impossible to answer in positive terms, i can only tell you what isn't my cup of tea. :)

i think this is bad ass.. but since theres so many details, it seems you should have used smaller brushes to capture them. its a bit muddy and theres no contrast really either. i think your black areas should be blackER, unless they are and its just glare from the photo.

hey thanks, yeah the black bits are really black but the flash on the camera made the canvas show up wierd. I used a number one brush on the really fiddly bits, but i could of done with a 0.5 I guess. I was quite happy with it though as I havn't used acrillics and guache for about two years. So it was the first painting i had done in ages!!:)
