Exasm

'Ello peeps! I kinda felt obliged to make an introduction thread after registering here, so here I am!
My 'online alias' is Exasm, turning 18-years-old next month. Just graduated high school and going to the university in Eindhoven (Netherlands) after the summer vacation.
I don't really know if I'm a rookie to 'art', I've been graphic designing for a few years already and I think I can say I'm quite familiar with photoshop. I've been doing abstract, vector designing, but also photo manipulations and webdesign (which has actually made me quite some money, so in some way you could say I'm a professional, haha:P).
However I feel my skills will get alot better if I'd go more advanced, namely drawing and perhaps digitally painting. I've always been intrigued by 3D creations with 3D software, but before I take a step into the 3D world I feel like I should learn how to draw. My ultimate goal is to create an image on paper from my imagination and ultimately recreate that scene in 3D software, following up adding special effects with my current photoshop skills.
Signing up here is my first step, as I've never drawn before are attempted some sort of art class. But I'm determined to make beautifull art some day and I'm sure I'll enjoy this community. I've been lurking around here for a while and everyone here seems really nice and intelligent and artistic ofcourse;).
As of now I'm studying the anatomy of the head and hands (Andrew Loomis, ofcourse) and I think I'll try some landscapes soon, as I'm really enthusiastic about those for some reason:P.
Anyway, if you have any questions, or perhaps some tips for me on how to learn drawing, go ahead! I'm an open book!
I think I'll go make a sketchbook here now
