Im having trouble with my color with Photoshop. When I save it for the web the image and colors are different from the ones that I used. Can anyone explain to me whats wrong? Anways I also need some assistance on making the gun in his hand. Im having trouble making the perspective shot of the gun. Can someone demo it out for me, you can use this pic to draw it in if you like.

As far as saving goes, don't use the save for web option for paintings. "Save for web" saves your image with a maximum color palet of 256 colors as a .gif file. In paintings with alot of colors and especially with shading it will always distort. Instead, I use "save as" and then the drop down box to select .jpg or .jpeg. However, jpeg files are compressed and will lose quality so you may also want to save your .psd (photoshop default format) file.

Actually It turned out to be the color profile I was using for my monitor. No matter how I saved it kept turning brighter. I actually used the AdobeRGB1998 color profile and now my colors are all the same when saving.

Nice sketch... I really like the foreshortening on the arm.. and the hand is good too!

Only thing I see wrong at the moment is that the head is too small...

For drawing guns at different angles... buy a few Punisher comics (or any others with lots of guns) and copy all the drawings a few times. After just copying, you'll get a feel as to how it should go...

Cheers!

save for web actually allows you to save as a variety of file types, and provides you with better previews of palettized file types as well as non (jpg for instance) - cool picture btw :) i want to see more!
