Came accross this great site showing how to build your own easel. Thought it might help others who maybe interested in saving some money and making it themselves.

Thanks for the link. I've been looking for something like this. I'm kind of lacking a few tools, though.

cool, i like the idea of making own tools/equipment, being short of cash etc .. ;)

As fantastic as that easel looks, if I am going to be honest, I just know I wouldn't be capable of that fine craftsmanship and neither would my husband..not that he would even try and certainly isn't my 'handy andy'. However apart from the possibility of enjoying this epic task. I can't imagine the cost of the materials and tools would really make this adventure that cost effective. I have to say, I have a lovely Lyra Easel that I bought from artyfect.com for a fantastic price. If I was you Id save the time and find a bargain!
Well done to anyone that does make an easel though!
