Samurai and earth elemental

The Earth Elemental is sick. Nice job with the values and shading. The only thing about it that really bothers me is the glow from the eyes. It appears to be floating AROUND the eye, rather than coming FROM it.

Does that make sense?!

As for the Samurai, either A. what kind of paper/material did you draw this on, or B. how did you get that texture for the BG. I really like it.

Earth elemental needs to feel more solid, and ditto on the eye glowing thing.

the samurai guy is good though. lines make it kind of confusing, you should try to emphasize the hand holding the sword to make it pop out.

I agree, Samurai looks cool but my eye gets lost alot...better line quality or shading would help alleviate this...nice work.
