I am seeking an inker and a colorist to work on a 104 page graphic novel entitled _Haunting Refrain_ that is currently under contract with Committed Comics.

Here’s the hook: _Haunting Refrain_ is a ghost story within a ghost story within a ghost story. When the ghost from an old campfire story begins killing Bongo Brasher’s family and friends, Bongo is increasingly drawn into the ghost’s world until the ghost encourages him to settle old scores by becoming a killer himself.

I am the project’s writer, and this is my first comics project. In my “day job,” I am a professor of film and television at Georgia State University in Atlanta (if you wish to learn more about me, you can visit my academic website at http://www.gsu.edu/~jougms). The penciler is Ulises Carpintero, who has done work for Image Comics, Dial C for Comics, and Blue King Comics (for more on Ulises, see http://ulirom.deviantart.com).

We created an 8 page preview for the project, and Ulises did the pencils, inks, and colors for that preview, which you can see at http://www.hauntingrefrain.com (where you can also read the entire pitch, including a full plot synopsis). Because of other commitments, Ulises will only have time to do the pencils for the full OGN, and thus our need for an inker and a colorist.

The project is fully scripted, and I can share that script with interested parties. I can also share sample pencils from the preview to give prospective inkers and colorists a sense of what they will be working with. Over 50 pages have been penciled thus far, and 25 pages have already been inked/colored. Unfortunately I am only able to pay $20 for a finished inked/colored page, though I wish I could pay more.

Contact me at gsmith@gsu.edu for more information.

$20/page is way too low for what you want done. You need to offer more.

$20 dollars for the rest of the book or $20 per page? As stated above $20 dollars for about 100+ hours of work isnt really the best.

Yes, $20 a page is not professional rates. I'm pretty sure this guy knows it, which is why he explained he wished he could pay more. The budget is what it is, so if you are not interested, then don't respond.
