any summer schools (for illustration/other art) in new york city?

hi, i recentley visited new york, and it was amazing. so long story short, i want to go again in the summer. and i thought as i'm there, why not attend some sort of summer workshop etc for expereince. now, i'm not sure what i am and are'nt allowed to do as a uk citizen in new york, i know i cant work, but would i be able to attend something like a summer school? and is there any that anyone knows of?

Sva (http://www.sva.edu) its a good school with plenty of good summer programs, i think they are offered to only highschool students, give them an e-mail and get some info though....
