hey guys i was looking in the male/female figure reference threads and theyre great sources for fullbody shots but im looking for an expansive collection of 360 views (or just basic front, profile, 3/4) of male/female faces.. does anyone has such a resource? thanks

I second this.
The only thing I found was the book Facial Expressions (http://www.amazon.com/Facial-Expressions-Visual-Reference-Artists/dp/0823016714/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1280490947&sr=1-1) by Mark Simon.
It can be really helpful with expressions, but for real studies I find the pictures too small and too dark. The pictures are all black/white and i'd also like to see some skincolor-variations.

While is may not be what you are looking for the Portrait work by Marina Abramović is fantastic for Reference for a large variety of facial types, ages, hairstyles, of either women or men.

I don't know free 360ies, but the photographs of the following list are as big as possible and you can zoom in for the head-view / face-focus:

1 a - female-anatomy-for-artist.com (female only)
1 b - human-anatomy-for-artist.com

2 - Virtual Pose 1 - 4 and Duo (CD-ROMs at amazon)

3 - Art Models 1 - 4 (CD-ROMs at amazon)

These don't contain facial expression. All views are near without emotion!
