Hey guys,

This is probably a really simple issue, but I can't figure it out, it has happened before, and then one day fixed itself, and now its back again. When I paint something in Photoshop, say in grayscale, but in RGB mode my original tiff file, I can see a great amount of details in the shadows, almost being light etc...but then, when I save to web...or even just save a jpeg, my whole entire image goes dark...especially in the shadowed areas, basically blackens out...

Anyone know what the problem would be??

Thank you!

Justin

Do you have "convert to sRGB" checked? If so, uncheck it and make sure you're saving your images with the right color profile.

Alternatively, if you have to or want to save in sRGB for web content or something, navigate to "edit>convert to profile", set sRGB IEC61966-2.1 or HDTV (Rec. 709) as the destination profile, and Photoshop will do the best it can to keep the document's values and colors the same.
