Hi all, I have recently bought a wacom intuos2 A4 size. It works great and everything, really fun to work with.

But i dont get the point with that mouse? is it good for anything?? it slides really bad, its pretty heavy and it is annoying acceleration as standard.

Though my usual mouse is a Logitech Mx300 with a func pad and teflon sliders. Also with reduced weight (removed the scroll wheel, some components and the weight)

So my question is: What do you guys do with your mouse, do you even use it??

I never really noticed the weight problem, maybe its all the time I spend at the gym(Yeah right!). The tablet mouse actually slides smoother than my regular mouse. I don’t use it because I have my tablet in pen mode set to proportional and tried to have my mouse set differently except it kept randomly switching to proportional and that pissed me off. So, now my tablet mouse is just collecting dust on the shelf.

That actually brings up another question. When I got my tablet I spent a good 8 hours configuring it to get it to work the way I wanted and it still doesn’t seem to work as well as I had hoped. How did you go about configuring your tablet? Or do you now of a good site that tells how to do this?
thanks

Dramatic Digital: What are some of the specific things that are bugging you now? Or that you want? There is probably a way you can fix it.

Calle_: I never really noticed the weight of the mouse, I guess. What I have for it is the sensitivity basically all the way up. It makes it so that in about one inch I can scroll my whole screen. Also, since the wacom mouse doesn't "care" about which direction its facing, I have a bad habbit of "twirling the mouse".
I guess it is a little heavy, I don't see how that would be a problem though, unless your sensitivity is awful. Amp it up!

First of all I have an 8x6 tablet and a screen resolution of 1600x1200. When I set the area to use for the tablet with those numbers there is still about and inch and a half on the right and bottom of the tablet that still aren’t used. And when I make the range smaller the tablet area doesn’t cover the whole monitor. Also, when I paint if I do fast strokes there is no problem but if I try to do a slow stroke I get a stair stepped line instead of a smooth line, even when I turn smoothing on. I’ve been planning on calling Wacoms support line but I’m always at work during their hours. So if you could help me that would be great.
thanks

Well, I did'nt even have to do anything to make my wacom work, just plugged it in and it got it, i did though install the software. And it adapts automaticly after my screen. I think you should mail them, or call them =) good luck

DD: My guess is that its the resolution, that sounds like a pretty beefy resolution, does the wacom support it? Have you tried it with a lower res? Lets see how that works.

I tried setting my resolution lower and everything is so HUGE! I feel like an old lady. Well as far as fixing the jaggy line problem it made no difference. I think I’m just shaking. And the unused tablet area I was able to get rid of after just a bit more playing. Thanks for trying to help.
