Well here's my newest installment. He kind of goes along in the same world as my "Chicken" Rider from before. (someone was very nice to point out that it doesn't look like a chicken) I'll try and be more literal from now on so people don't get all confused. Next time I'll call it a "Bird" Rider or something like that. Anyways. Here he is.

Nice piece. It might sound dumb, but my favorite part is the ships on the right. I'd think about making the beast's lower torso bigger, though. Seems like the big rear legs would need a big structure to support it (most animals are like that, I think, especially brontosauri). It's neat, though. Good job!

this is good. I did something fairly similar to this recently, but doesn't look as good.
Only thing that stood out at me was the flag on the spear. It looks to be a bit stiff.
This wouldn't have a warhammer based insperation would it?

Wooo! My first rated thread. Yay me. And I got a 4 out of 5.
Thanks for the comments guys.
You're right hoopa, that flag is a little stiff. Maybe they starch thier flags before battle. Or maybe I'm just to lazy to fix it :D Though no, it wasn't inspired by warhammer at all. I like warhammer but I tried to stay as far away from it as I could. This, and the "Bird"Rider are for a game my friend and are are trying to put together. Mammals vs Lizards. That's not the title just the idea.
Thanks Hard Creation for the vote.
Well Miau I did have the Mammal "Bird"Rider I posted a while ago. Other than that I won't have more to show until I paint one up. I'm not sure what I'm going to paint up next.
You're probably right about the torso theincredibleandy. Though what bugs me more about the leg is that the lower part isn't in line with the upper part. it looks wrong or broken to me. I'll have to straighten that up. What part are you talking about exactly? The front of his bodie or the back part?

My main comment is that it looks like the rider is going to fall on his face. Everything is tipping that direction. Also (and this is me being nitpicky) but what's the point of having shanks on the bit when the reins aren't attached to them? Hah, this reminds me that I was going to write up a little blurb and diagram a thing on bits; Understanding what makes a bit actually work and the uses for different bits for the local 4H horse club... but I would rather be painting I guess :P

the only reason I ask about warhammer, is coz they have a model (http://uk.games-workshop.com/warhammerworld/warhammer/lizardmen/downloads/images/lizardmen10-640.jpg) that looks uncanily similar. Might want to look at these guys for lizard references.

I see they have something called the Carnosaur or are you talking about the cold ones? Which is sorta kinda like my guy. But I wouldn't use the word uncanny.
Actually I have a lizardman army for warhammer but I haven't touched it in years. Not since back shortly after they released the full lizardman army. I'm more of a 40,000 kind of guy. I haven't looked at anything warhammer for a long time. Not until you mentioned it and I went to see this carnosaur thing. (They didin't have the carnosaur back when I played).
