Merlord Studios Recruitment - Oberon

Merlord Studios is a game development team which started out roughly around 7-8 months ago. At first we concentrated on creating top-quality modifications and custom campaigns/scenarios for different top-of-the-line games, but we soon became frustrated with the limitations of modding and decided to set out on something more ambitious. For the next 5 months, we focused on our newest and most ambitious project- Oberon , a fantasy RPG. Over the course of these laborious months, we managed to produce successful results on both the artistic field and the programming field. During the entire course of the year, our members have been working day by day on the project- with absolutely no monetary compensation as of yet. If you're interested in working with Merlord Studios , please be aware of the team's tight budget- a budget we're using to fund all the things neccessary in order to complete the project. Although we are not paying our members by the month, we are planning on initiating salaries once we have completed and published our first title, Oberon. If you're interested and agree with our rather abstract methods, then on behalf of the Merlord Studios staff, we we'll gladly welcome you into the team.

We have plenty of OPEN positions for Project "Oberon". They are the following, listed in bullet form:

*Programmers, Lead Position is already taken.
*Modelers, Lead Position is already taken
*2D/3D Artists, Lead Position is available.
*Concept Artists, Lead Position is available.
*Concept Writers, Lead Position is already taken.

We are looking for experienced staff only, with the following skills:

*Programmers, - (Lead Position taken at the moment), but requirements for Lead Programmer are the following:

*Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.
*4+ year(s) of experience in a team, with a shipped product.
*4+ year(s) of experience in C/C++/DX - DirectX v8+. and/or OpenGL.
*Has worked as Lead Programmer before, in team/company with a shipped product.
*Can manage, giving tasks and time issues.

(You MIGHT be approved as a Lead Programmer if you have lower experience). They are the following:

*Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.
*4+ year(s) of experience in a team.
*3+ year(s) of experience in C/C++/DX - DirectX v7+. and/or OpenGL.
*Has worked as Lead Programmer before, in team/company.
*Can manage, giving tasks and time issues.

Normal Programmers Requirements are as follows:

*Must have 2+ years of experience with C++/DX - DirectX 7+.
*Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.
*2+ year(s) of experience in a team.
*Has worked as a Programmer before in a team/company.
*Can manage, given tasks and time issues.

*Modelers, - (Lead Position taken at the moment), requirements for Lead Modeler are the following:

*Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.

*Has worked as Lead Modeler before, in a team/company with a shipped product.
*Can manage, giving tasks and time issues.

*3+ year(s) of experience with 3DS Max/Maya or/and with any other leading modeling program.

*Has worked as Lead 2D/3D Artist before, in a team/company with a shipped product.

(You MIGHT be approved as a Lead 2D/3D Artist if you have lower experience). They are the following:

*Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.
*2+ year(s) of experience in a team.
*3+ year(s) of experience with making 3DS Max/Maya or/and any other 3D modeling program.
*Has worked as Lead 2D/3D Artist before, in a team/company.
*Can manage, giving tasks and time issues.

Normal 2D/3D Artists requirements are as follows:

*2+ years of experience with making graphics in 3DS Max/Maya/Photoshop/PSP and/or any other 3D modeling program.
*Excellent Verbal and Communication Skills.
*1+ year(s) of experience in a team.
*Has worked as 2D/3D Artist before, in a team/company.
*Can manage, given tasks and time issues.
