A brief introduction, my name is Sam Spratt, I'm a graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design. I'm still in illustrator infancy so to speak but things are moving really fast. I had my work featured in the Society of Illustrator's Annual this year along with American Illustration 29. I do all kinds of work from commissioned portraits, advertising illustrations, to medical illustrations (Just recently got published in the American Association of Cancer Research Journal), and more. I'm currently working with an Art Director from Euro RSCG on some advertising illustrations and juggling several other freelance projects.
I work digitally and traditionally interchangeably, No real preference I just like pouring myself into the details. I feel I have a Baroque soul and my influences are definitely traditional but I do my best to capture a modern aesthetic in the process. I've always had a passion for game design/conceptual art as well and some of that trickles into my portfolio now and then as personal passion projects. When so much of my work is done from references either from life or photos as inspiration, I find the realm of creature and character design to be freeing because I can just start from scratch entirely from my head and not need to try to make something have a semblance to something else.

And just as a taste to maybe prompt you to click some of these links, here is a creature design + background of mine done 100% from my imagination. I call it the "Anaflor". I created it using Photoshop CS5 extended.
