Hey everyone,

I'm sure this info is somewhere in a previous post, but I couldn't find anything. I baked my first sculpture, a troll, and he formed about 7 cracks on the lower half of his body. It's my own fault for some previous mistakes. I'm just wondering how I should fix them. I've read about people using epoxy, super glue etc. Do you fill them with SS and rebake? or will epoxy or superglue work as well? Help!

Thanks!!

Rebecca

Hey,

It's been a long time since I last did bake sculpts, but you could use milliput as a gap filler, or kneadatite if you wanted to add some texture of detail onto it.

Probably the least helpful suggestion, but I hope it helps, good luck with your sculpts. :)

Just fill it in with epoxy or Magic Sculpt, mix the two parts and apply-when it has fully dried you can sand the bumps down.
Hope that helps :)

Have a look at the plastic model making industry (aircraft, ships, tanks etc). Some very good gap filling tube putties available from those suppliers. Also there are gap filling super-glues available.

If it's made of sculpey you could fill in the cracks with more sculpey then use a heat gun to cook it.

I ended up using some zap a gap and have some epoxy for deeper cracks. Thanks for all the advice!
