I'm not really sure how the refs and insp subforum works, didn't there used to be more stuff here?

Anyway, I have an obsession with urban jungles, slums and the like and I'm sure I can't be the only one here. Thought I'd share some of the stuff I have on Kowloon Walled City - the densest bit of human habitation that has ever been (demolished since 1993)

Built around 1950 this shrine was later so closely surrounded by buildings, the grate above protects it from rubbish.

City of Darkness: Life in Kowloon Walled City is a really good book on it. Wish I had it, but it's kinda pricy.

Thanks for these pics! Yes, good photos of this place are hard to come by and I've seen that publication only twice before. I believe Kowloon was also shown in the movie Bloodsport with Jean Claude VanDamme...
