Rawr!
ive been wanting to start one of these for a while, and havent been able to just sit down and sketch ..so, here are my first sketches for this thread! im hoping to be able to update this often, well see tho huh??

these were inspired by carlos recent work, they were done as an exercise in speed, and portraying a character..IE giving them a personality instead of just a nifty outfit...
they were all done in 20-30 minutes each..quite a feat for me...=B
im going to color them later, ill post those when theyre done =)

comments and feedback are much appreciated, i need all the help i can get!

Neat, I really like the pose in the last one, nice dynamic elements.

sweet dude skank I love your shit, very much looking foreward to seeing this grow :)

as for this first batch, I love 'em all, but the 2nd one has an issue that detracts from it (imo). The guys pants, which I'm assuming are Hakama pants or something similar, just seem too flat ... I think if they had a more definate contour it would promote a stronger image as a whole. The pants just look 2d while the torso looks f-ing sweet ...

anyway, post more dude!

I really like your ideas and sketch work, especially the first three. I would like to see them a little bit more tighten so that most of the idea get across to the audience a lil more.

Keep it up!

hey thanks xia =)
im having trouble keeping my pencil work clean lately, i used to be able to bring pieces to a finished look in pencil, and now i struggle with it, so i try to keep it at simple as possible before i ink it or paint over it...

but im going to try!! the next time i post it will be with tighter pencils...i promise =)

oh, and the finished version of the above pic is in the finished section

Although I'm not a big fan of those musclemen, I really like the expression on his face..
Show some more, when you've got the time to, please ;)

dude this stuff rocks, as for a difference between now and 6 years or so ago your a lot looser with your lines with is a good thing, just keep drawing, your really pulling off a joe mad influence with your fantasy character designs it looks like.
great stuff.
