teenagers

i want to practise drawing teenagers but i am useless at making poses for my drawings. whenever i try to make my own poses, the characters either look really cheesy or disfigured. i have tried drawing from reference photos but i can only find pictures of adults and then my characters end up not looking like teenagers. i dont know what do do, any help please?

well, I'd advise you to go to some public area, such as a subway, bus station, or mall, and sketch every young person you see... I've done it several times, and although it has not really benifited me that much yet, I'm sure it will if I continue to do so...
