*looks around....Fears everyone here....and hides

You guys are too damn good! I didn't even dare to post some of my work! But now I have the guts to do it :p
Ok so this i my Hellgirl...

This one was the first one, but she looked flat and her hands and feet were very very fokked up, see for yourself:

So...I started to make another one. This one is better in my opinion. The inking took a lot of time (3 hours thanks to my stupid pen!) and it is colored very quick. I really suck at shading and lightning so I hope some of you could give me any tips/help?

Although it's not something what you used to see on these boards *gasp* I hope you like it...

First of all, stop acting as if the rest of these people are the god's of art. Putting yourself down makes you look bad and could potentially limit yourself to what your capable of.

Now as far as your piece. I like the style you have here and it looks very clean, here are some things I've notced though.

Shadows and highlighting aren't as bad as you say, yet could use some tweaking. With the line work you've established with the figure, I almost see the shadowing as being solid shapes correspending with the shape of the limbs. Thats just my viewing of it. Keep trying different techniques and work with what you feel is right and build on it.

For the hands and feet, anyone will say this, but study anatomy. Only way man. Keep working though and update these pics when you get the chance.

She does have a point, usually 'lesser' stuff doesnt even get a reply...1 or two tops and you gotta admit most of the stuff posted here is intimidating to say the least :P
Hell I stopped posting here cus my posts went straight to the bottem without any reply's.

But about the art, practise some more with lineweights on the inks, the closer to the viewer, the thicker the lineweight.
For shading Id try simple cell shading first.

I quite like it and I love your colors. You can do shading and highlighting by using the same colors as your main colors. Only darker or lighter tones. And graduate the tones, (from the main color, going varying degrees darker to the darkest color for shading and the opposite for highlighting.) Nice work. I am looking forward to more.:)
