hi eveyone, im petty new to sculpting, and i bought some supersculpey not long ago and ive found it is really nice for smaller sculptures, but i cant make bigger characters/ creatures that i can bake as it works out too exepensive, i am looking for some help on what clays to use that would be cheaper and better for bigger sculptures, if any? i really want to try super sculpey firm, but still it goes really quickly when making larger sculptures... help!? :D

If you want something you can bake hard once you're done then stick with super sculpey. If the sculpture is too big to fit in the oven you can cook the sculpey using a heat gun.
Casteline and Chavant are both non drying clays so you'd need to cast anything sculpted in them in another material for a finished piece.

dont forget you can bulk out your model with tin foil.... so you make your armature then scrunch tin foil around it to the basic shape then rap in v thin wire to hold it all together you could then put a layer of milliput over the top of that to give you something realy solid to onto but its not essential. hope that helps

thanks alot for the help, yehh the milliput idea sounds good :D , i really want to try chavant, but casting seems kinda complicated haha :P but it would be really nice to produce casts of my sculptures. thanks for the tips again :)
