Recently I painted a pic in Photoshop, backed up files, uploaded the picture to Deviant Art and everything seemed normal until I reinstalled Windows, drivers etc.
After deciding to check up on my Deviant Art upload, I found out that the picture was distorted, i.e. scaled, stretched vertically.
I was convinced that this was some DA bug until I saw my backups which looked the same.
I opened Photoshop and stretched a circular marquee to see how distorted was my display and the circle looked oval.
Now I am afraid to start any painting because I am not sure any more that painting won't turn out stretched without me even being aware of this.
What's the best way to adjust resolution settings in order to avoid this kind of distortion?
