The second painting seems like it could use more detailed refinement in the landscape. Beside from the rock, I think light/lava/fire??? and could use more contrast against the mountains and clouds. Perhaps, you could put in a little red?

Also, I think the guy's leaning back too much. You might wanna fix that.

low resolution work base ?...or you just modified after ?

Modified after. The original was 2800 x 1600 px.......my PC has problems handling anything bigger, especially ones with lots of layers.

If something is low res, isn't it a bit more blurry when enlarged? Opposed to something at a higher res. which becomes clearer as it is shrunk down?

I'm not so computer literate.
