Hello everyone, just thought i would put up some of my work as simple as it may be. I'm trying to keep myself occupied while im off work till march, till then im honing my skillz :D

Feel free to give some suggestions to my work, since i'm always looking for advice and ideas. (all work is from photo references) Also if you think the detail is weird its because all of my photos are off my nikon so until i spring for a scanner.

"all work is from photo references" So then it isn't actually life drawing then....

In any case it looks to me like there are problems with proportions among other things in most of the pictures so I think you should be more carefull and spend more time on getting it right. When working from photos make sure you aren't just copying shapes but try to understand as much as possible why it looks a certain way.

Try to find Ron Lemen's (fredflickstone) tutorials where he uses photos to describe some approaches to drawing the figure (from life or ref), I think they were posted on this forum.

Yes your right, ive revised my post. I'll try and take more time to clear up those issues. I try not to go down that route with 'copying shapes', I take my time first in setting up a structure for the body before moving onto other areas of concern.

I've found fredflickstones advice a great help, they're printed out and up by my desk.

thanks!
