So yes. I left a painting (still in early-ish stages thank god) to dry on a easel overnight but something like a gust of wind or quite probably my cat knocked it off at some time and I had some newspaper laid out on the floor and now it's dried stuck to it with some dust and and a pencil (which I already removed). I'd say the painting was about 1/3 to completion so I'm torn between removing the paint from the masonite board (or discarding it altogether, I work fat) and starting anew vs trying to salvage. What'd be the best way to go about the latter? The paper doesn't just peel very well. Should I try soaking it with water and then somehow peel/sponging it off? I don't have much time, this is due in 5 days.
