Hello, everyone. My name is Dan Perez and I thought I'd introduce myself. Been sculpting and producing model kits for a number of years. Here is a finished piece (Good Smeagol from LOTR) and a work in progress (a sort of Cthulhu-esque embryo-type-thingie).

I work primarily in Super Sculpey, although I have been learning how to use Castilene lately as well.

Comments always welcome.

love your work Dan, seen lots of it before at the shiflers(sp) brothers forum.
Question: do you mix super sculpey with anything or just work with it directly?

Thanks, Volk. I take regular super sculpey and mix a combination of black and white sculpey III to it to get a uniform gray color. It also cuts the translucence of the pink sculpey.

I've experimented with other mixes, but that's what I use primarily. I do sculpt fragile parts out of epoxy putty sometimes.
