Cyber Chicken WIP

Here's something I'm working on was hoping some of you could provide some crits and suggest ideas for backgrounds as I suck at them and don't know how to tie the chicken in yet make it stand out if that makes sense.

It's a little dark, i can't view it a lot, but is curius. Why a chicken??

A friend of mine challenged me to draw an altered chicken, no more than that. Would it be better to make the image lighter as the highlights are already quite strong.
