This is my lastest proyect, the
queen of ravens calling her flock,
i have made several perspective
studies, and i would like to know your
opinion, since this it is just preliminar
lots of detalis are missing but i want
to know if i got the strucure right.

So... first i drawed the blocked
structure, then i am placing the
image with both anatomy and
blocked structure overlaped, and in
the third image the final composition

with the ravens included,

comments and constructive critiques
are as usual wellcome. :D

see ya

Great perspective! And I like the motion of the cloak, too.
Can't wait to see what you do with it.

this is really looking awesome! love how you started it out on a strong foundation. a suggestion I would have is to have a raven very close to us maybe in the lower left -lower mid left corner of the picture. I say this to get a dynamic of ravens flying in towards and around her. I dunno, something you could throw in on another layer and see if it works I guess.

Just a thought, but maybe the river should get a bit broader in front of the castle.

I thought it was going great until the color version. The colors seem too crayola (grass=green, sky=blue). I think the lighting you are trying to get would be easier to develop in tones without color complicating things.

On your color version try dropping the saturation way down, then work the lighting around your central figure and in the sky, then slowly add subtle color back in...

good luck and nice birds!

Good stuff Max, really appreciate how you started thinking the process through right from the beginning.

Any crits have been mentioned so I'll just throw you a thumbs up and encourage you to keep pushing.

Cheers,
jm

It's looking fantastic - very nice work, indeed.
I get the feeling that she's on the lookout for an approaching army or something epic is about to happen. :D

I guess you will define the falling feathers a bit more? At first I thought the large one was an odd-shaped raven. hee hee

Hey, that's great! The crow that JackalAnubis suggested works really well, drawing the viewer in. And I love the addition of the storm clouds in the background. It definately adds more drama to the scene. The rest of the crows still look great!

I saw that. :D

The final version looks great. If I could ask a favor, I'm going to post an update to my rogue picture soon - next couple of days, if you could give some critique on the painting, I would very much appreciate it. Even if you think it looks crappy. lol
