thanks usagi, yeah I realized I never really posted my 3d stuff here, even my texture stuff so I thought I'd give it a try but it looks like it's the same people as from polycount, poopinmymouth is even the mod for this section! crazy!:D

nice models wally,
working with low polys can be quite a challenge, but you're stuff really flys despite the limitation.

i noticed that you had some hard edges on your rotbelly there. the hard edges are the ones along the neck where a distinct angle is visible because of the lighting.

now it may be something you want to keep, but if not, you can get rid of hard edges in maya with (in the modeling menu) edit polygons --> normals --> soften/harden --> options box. select all soft (you'll also have to have the hard edges selected) and apply. anyway, i'm not sure if you wanted them hard or not, since the creature certainly has some mechanical components. and if you want to do the same thing with 3d s max, i'm not sure how.

anyway, great models! you've inspired me to post something i'm working on!

thanks yeah, the hard edges are actually smoothing group setups, the bottom of the neck is going to be a different material from teh top part hence the line, anytime you see that stuff that's what's goin on, just messin with smoothing groups. usually the things dont last into texturing because of the hardness of the lines, thanks for the crits tho and helpful advice anyhow:D

btw new model up top, vehicle
