What do you guys think about OU's graphic design program? Its a very affordable school for me, and it looks like they base the majority of the program around ps, which I love. :D

Anyone know anyone or have any personal experiences with this school? Good? Bad? Please post! ^_^

(Yeah, I'm just slowly steering away from the whole '3dcg' idea, not big deal, right? ^^)

I think that OU does have a decent program;however, if you check out the faculty who teach there, many came from University of Cincinnati, which, in my opinion, has a much better and more well known program, if you can get in. They also have a very strong coop program that OU doesnt' have. The catch is that you will need at least a 3.5 or better overall GPA to get into Cincinnati's school of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning. If you don't have it, OU is a good second choice.

I absolutely need a gpa of 3.5 or higher?

Well, Cincinnati is out of the picture. I was looking at their ID program awhile back, 5 years, 3.5 education and 1.5 on the site, but again, graphic design just seems a hella lot more interesting.

Yes, Univeristy of Cincinnati is very academically oriented for admission into their School of Design , Art, Architecture and Planning, which is probably their toughest undergraduate school. If you don't have a 3.5 overall GPA or better in high school and/or some desent SAT/ACT scores, you won't get in there. OU would be a good alternative. Overall OU is a very decent school; however, it is in the middle of no where.

I don't know any specifics about the program. But I do know there are many OU graduates that have worked with my wife on the design teams at Abercrombie and now at Bath & Body Works. Can't be that bad for a univ.

Offer Quality Graphic Design Course:
Hi,

Let me tell you about the graphic design course at Ohio University, its mainly providing an deep understanding of the designer’s new thinking edges, video, music etc. Graphic design program is basically design for under graduate students. It’s a program deals with school of arts. What’s main secrete about this Ohio is you can research about printmaking, painting, photography at the same time can carry on your design studio's classes. I guess its very cost effective school to learn numerous design related subjects.

I am wondering when I can enroll in ohio University !!. just because they have lots of quality programs. :sungod:What about you?..
