Well hi,
I somehow seem to have a big problem with drawing female breasts, I can draw an anatomic male body, I can draw robots, I can draw guns, but i can't draw those female shapes, and I totaly can't draw breasts.
It's really terrible when I see that every kid can draw breasts but I cannot. Even drawing from photos doesn't help me, since Im somehow too stupid to figure out the volumes of a breast and it just looks wrong and flat.
So my question is:
There are great tutorials for Constructing a human head, feets, hands, whatever. But aren't there any tutorials for drawing/constructing breasts right, so they have depth and volume?
Im kinda desperate you know, this whole "Not beeing able to draw breasts" thing really pulls me down.
It would definately cool if someone of you great people could help me.

since this is your first post here i take it your just some kid trying to have fun on this forum and are now sitting behind your monitor giggling untill someone posts a drawing of some breasts you can wank of on.
if not, i'm sorry.
i guess it would help to just keep practising,
there are many resource sites out there with nude pictures etc.
if that doesn't pay of, try looking at how other artists handle it. (download & zoom)

While drawing from my head, then breasts are hard. I mean, since their one of the main focuses for guys (haha), then if you mess up a little, its very noticeable.
You can't draw breasts from photo reference? I take it that your new to drawing, correct? Well, maybe you should pratice drawing from reference somemore. And also go check out a few anatomy books, or one that helps you draw from life. I like the book Drawing from the Right Side of your Brain. That book will help you the most with drawing from life and photo reference.

Thanks,
I'll try to get that book.

Be careful what reference you choose. You may end up training yourself to draw implants ;).

i don't know if this is any help but here is apicture i drew a few weeks ago at a nudie drawing class. the key is, not to concentrate on what you are drawing, but on the shape. That is, don't think he he... i am drawing boobs, think about what they look like if you are serious

You should keep a whole sketch book dedicated to breasts.
Every time you see some jugs you like you make an entry.

I think if all us guys did that, we wouldn't have any more trees, lol.

Sorry... I guess I should add something constructive, but that comment made me laugh. Thanks, I needed it after today.
Anyways, the way I handle breasts (sic) is that I draw them last. I'll draw the pectoral muscles (just remember they're not as huge on a woman, compared to a guy) in while constructing the drawing but that's it. Once I have the pose and anatomy the way I like, then I work on building up the breasts. My sketches tend to be pretty tight, but for the breasts I usually work really light and sketchy until I find the right lines. Think of it like sculpting with your pencil. There are a few things to remember about breasts (this will seem silly, but I think a lot of guys don't think about this [particularily young uns]): They are not hard. They are affected by gravity. They are malleable. They're pretty much all fat and tissue, so the bigger they are the more they're gonna hang lower on the torso. When a girl is lying on her back, they're gonna flatten, and depending on how big they are, hang to the side a bit. Probably the most important thing to remember is that they are not completely circular ever. Although, I suppose breast implants might look that way sometimes. And, frankly, I think implants are butt ugly.
I don't know if that was any help... I've never tried to explain how I draw before, lol.
Working from life is the best way to go. Sign up for a life drawing class or get your girlfriend to pose. Photo ref will only take you so far.
EDIT: almost forgot... 2 reasons I draw them last: is because the position of arms and her torso is gonna affect their shape. And reason 2 is that sometimes the drawing of the girl (especially after I draw her face), will dictate to me how big and what shape this girls breasts should be. Some girls just look like they should have big breasts, others look like they should have small ones, yknow what I mean?

Go look for Julies Anime Art tutorials (I forget waht theyre exactly called, but theyre somehting like that) She has a tutorial on breasts, and even though her art is anime style, I thought that the breasts tutorial was really good..

The breasts are my favorite part to draw. To me they are the easiest part... maybe it's because i'm a girl... *shrug* But, you could also take some life drawing classes OR eheh, if you can find a willing friend or if you have a girl-friend or a female of the type you could get thier permission and see if they will be your model. I'm no good at drawing guys and so sometimes I have my boyfriend model for me. It is convinient and works quite well. Remember, all women have different breasts (including the implants) so it's all right to get a random girl-type-friend or professional model to pose for you, this way you can become accustom to drawing the various types of breasts.
