Howdy,

I'm considering constructing my own lightbox/table instead of paying hundreds of dollars for a 'real' one. What I'd like to know is if anyone on the boards has already made their own or knows where to find a basic plan for constructing one.

Pictures of lightboxes/tables would also be a great help, either off the 'net or of your own :)

Any kind of help or suggestions are greatly appreacited.

Thanks,

Guges

all you need is a layer of fogged plexi glass with a layer of glass on top of that (so that the top surface isn't hot). Fluorescent tube bulbs are the best but I've heard that normal bulbs work fine. I think the fluorescent ones are preferred either because they're less hot or disperse light better. The fogged plexi glass is mainly for dispersing the light though. You may have to experiment on how close to put said bulbs to plexi glass. Don't box it all up by the way. Make sure the bulb is kind of ventilated so it doesn't get too hot.

Thanks for that :)

How would I utilize two pieces of glass and a blub though? It needs to sit on something, rigth? Any ideas on that?

I'm aware of all the pieces of a lightbox, but what I need to know is HOW to put them together, and what the best way to go about it is.

Thanks again,

Guges
