Resolved. :] Thanks to those who replied, and sorry I'm so darned blind when it comes to these sort of things. :S

This is a (hopefully) simple question.
I'm unsure of the level of artwork people applying for the Atelier course usually have, and/or how old they are.

I'd love to know what it is -generally-, as I'm hoping to apply to the course and would need to work myself up to the standard required, (if need be).

:]
Many thanks in advance!

NB. (I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, but I could not find a topic with this question. Blame the fairies).

depends on the atelier, but i think you can start at any age with any skill level, im sure each atelier got different standards and would be easier if you ask directly to the ateliers you are interest in =)

Ah, I should have thought of that before I posted. XD

The one I'm most interested in is the conceptart.org + massiveblack one - "Concept Design Studies" course - in San Francisco. (this one - http://www.conceptart.org/school/main.shtml )

It seems perfect, and although I've heard there is fierce competition for places, that won't stop me from aiming high.

GoredGuar -- I'm sure you've seen TAD mentioned on this site at least once... you may want to look into that. check out THE ART DEPARTMENT DISCUSSION FORUMS for Parents and Students... there's lots of info there.

Many thanks. Sorry, I'm a tad blind when it comes to these things - thanks again for pointing it out!
