Looks pretty good! A few things I might go back and fix though.
One would definately be the colors. It seems that more contrast is needed to make this look better. And maybe to go back over the different textures (the cloth of pants vs. the plastic/metal of the gun). I think that would really make it turn out much better.
Also, the gun and how the guy holds it looks a little odd to me. I think it may be that the body and hands don't really match. It looks as if he is about to take his shot, except the body does not really show the motion in which you are about to shoot.
The gun, too, at that perfect of a side view makes it look like it was pasted onto the picture. It could also be that there are no shadows to really show where it hides behind the arms, say, and where it rests on it. Sorta like its floating there.
I just realized this was in the finally finished section, so I guess these are things just to keep in mind when you do something like this again.
Sorry if my c&c wasnt all that great :) just some observations ;).

arms are too short...look at the humerus lengths on people you see during the day. what kind of range might you see?

I love Crits :D
K, so I've updated the pic trying my best to take in some of the comments that seemed possible without having to do a complete redraw. This time I've left my "background" in there instead of psing white everywhere. Imo it still has a flatness to it, though whether it is due to the shading or the posture I'm unaware. This is as far as I'm going to touch this one, cause it's just about had it I am sure, but that doesn't mean I can't stop learning from it so by all means if you got more, give it to me. Please? Here is the reference I used, though I did a really quick study of it, THEN I referenced the study, and even then it was only a "quick" glance. I think mine could have done with more of a "lunge" effect in the pose, and probably more thinking out.

For a 45 minute to an hour drawing I'm comfortable with the outcome, and hope that I can learn to pull better quality in the same time frame in the future.
