Starting my own sketchbook thread.
A past Daily sketch group that remains unfinished. The theme was "Baobab Tree Home."

Disgustingly cute cats. Or is that disgusting and cute? *shudder-twitch*

evre, you've got some good line work gong on there. I like your cats a lot. They remind me of mine.
As I mentioned, your line work is very good, but the only crit that I can offer right now is perhaps to work on your shading some.
Looking forward to seeing more!

Evre,
Oregano's got a point about the shading. I have that problem too. I really like that last one with the wings. Always wanted to be able to fly without a plane. The cats make me want to cough up a hairball myself. Keep it up.
Sincerely,
Chris

I like your characters. They are full of life. Are you doing comics?

Oregano & Jarvis: Thanks; I'll try to work on the shading for the next update.
n0fish: Thanks. No, I'm not doing comics. Right now I'm a freshman art student. I've been thinking of trying some mini-comic stuff on my own time, though.

Dale! One of my past characters that I haven't drawn in almost a year. He comes from a kind of science-fantasy world. He's wearing stilts that are used for fishing in reefs that are too crowded with coral to use boats. The method call for spearing the fish with short projectiles tethered to the fisherman's belt. A spear thrower helps to achieve enough force to impale the animal. The long spear thing doubles as a staff to brace yourself on when you're pulling in the catch.
