RPG character and layout

I've been grinding on this for a few days and think its done. The banner layout will be used for other characters as well.

Started with pencil sketch, inked on paper and then major clean up and color in photoshop. (the tatoo I stole from somewhere)

I can't decide if the banner is "cartoony" enough. But I think I'm done. C&Cs more than welcome.

nice image, but for my taste the banner is a bit to digital compared to the girl.

also I think you should design your own tattoo. that is the fun part! there was a time were all my characters had tattoes cause it was so much fun to do them.

one thing, its not really a crit but its something i've realized myself, i started on a skin (for my model) and just creating shadows by adding a line with the airbrush with a darker color made it look odd or dirty.. so my suggestion would be that u zoom in and control the lines better with a smaler brush, giving the brushstrokes more control and definition....

take the leg, copy it and shade it in 2 different ways, you'll see the difference(cant spell that word, grr)...just a thought..

The right arm (from her point of view) seems to originate from the height of her breast.

About the banner, I think it`s a bit too rendered. You`ve got those accented edges going on with the girl, while it`s totally different for the banner. It just seems too real.

Besides that, it`s top notch.

Oh wait, that sword in her right arm. She doesn`t seem to be gripping it very tightly.

I had not thought of the right arm/hand or shading as problem parts. I might have to try another version. That banner is the weak link...

Artified banner, Stronger, more defined shadow and black text. I like it much more and will stop here.

Will first be used persoanlly for an old pencil and paper RPG named Bushido that I am a big fan of.

Eventually this image and a series of others will be use in my own RPG, currently named Katzbalger. I hope to have it available in book and downloadable pdf form at some point.
