Right up front, I'll tell you that I know very little about comics, but I can certainly appreciate them. There are actually a few that I follow on deviantART

So I have this story in my head you see. One that I think would be awesome if done as a webcomic. It is a dark supernatural thriller which will include some action. My idea so far (though not set in stone) is something with real dark tones, but more focused on the characters. The background would have little to no detail.

The basic idea for this story is that my main character is traveling through an afterlife of sorts. But she doesnt know anything about her past, or why she is there. All she knows is that she is dead. If you think this might interest you I have a sample scene posted on dA http://grimmwriter.deviantart.com/art/Forfeited-162655151

I was hoping this could be a project that could be worked on for eventual publication. I would write the script, and work on anything else the artist would like me to (as I have no idea what goes into making a comic). Then the artist could work on the panels on their own time.

E-mail me at islelusionart@aol.com if you are interested in this project. Hope to hear from you soon!

To make it easier, here is the prologue...

More of me fades as I lay on the sand. The sea has already claimed so much from me, my name, my purpose, and my past. I fear if I do not move soon, she will devour what little remains.

Yet I keep watching them as they fall from a crimson sky. Their souls shine like stars before they are consumed by the water. In agony they dance upon the surface of the sea, fighting for a life that has already been taken from them.

One by one each soul fades, their hearts forfeited to Ammit. I do not know where they go when I can no longer see their glow. Was it meant to be like this? Were we all supposed to meld with the black sea?

Why did I fight then? Why did I make it to shore when the others are so easily lost beneath the surface? There is no answer, and I remain alone, lost.

The sea calls to me, she bids me to come to her and cleanse my soul of whatever it is that binds me to the shore. What remains of me longs to join with her, but the barrier between us is too strong.

Yet for all my questions unanswered, for all I feel at being cast aside from the path, I am not worried. I have all the time of eternity, because the one thing I do know is that I am already dead.

I realize it's a bit much to ask to start this project without pay. I'd be willing to negotiate a price for the first page or first big scene. Let me know what you rates are, and if you need a synopsis to consider taking on the project.
