This is the first Zbrush sculpture I have taken this far, or even tried to or was able to really.

I still need to learn a lot about the program, I had to use photoshop for the eyes and color variations.

I need to add to the background and make it blend more, though not extremely sure how to approach that. I can get somethin going i am sure.

I'm currently enrolled in the academy of art university of san francisco and switched majors to visual effects and animation with some studies and planned courses in illustration and 3d modeling of course. Any critiques are helpful, you guys are badasses here :)

I like the design ;)
For your further models, I think you should slow down a bit (or this one I guess). I mean while your overall shape looks good, you could have added a lot of cool wrinkels etc. before you went on to the fine skin details. Take it one subd at the time.
And to me your skin details look a bit random, maybe if you sat down and looked at some animal skin or something, you'd have a more clear idea of what you wanted it to look like.

But keep it up mate, for a first serious model this is looking good, and I think it could become really good if you spend some more time on it ;)
I'll keep my eyes out for an update.

It's a good start, try recreating something from life soon, it will give you some good training.
ex: Rhino, Horse, existing concept, ;-)

I think I've done enough of that for now, I prefer to create imaginative things. Plus I do a lot of life drawing etc for my classes. Thanks though ;)
